OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide solutions that deliver the right information, structured or unstructured, to the right people.
HISTORY
Openkast was founded in 1997 to develop technology to exploit XML to manage both structured and unstructured text. Its technology roadmap has seen the development of: a native XML NoSQL repository, message technology and the Assure information broker an information sharing platform.
OUR APPROACH
Openkast believes that agile and incremental delivery combined with partnership working produce solutions that genuinely address client need.
To reduce risk and build user confidence, Openkast adopts a phased approach to delivery (requirements capture to understand needs, and proofs of concept to demonstrate capability) and a staged deployment. In each project stage, Openkast encourages users to review the solution and refine requirements.
Openkast has a successful track record of collaborating with major IS/IT suppliers, developing solutions for sharing information and managing legacy data.
Examples of collaboration include:
- application of Openkast technology to naval messaging, an area disadvantaged by bandwidth constraints and security considerations
- a distributed intelligence system
- an information broker for cross domain sharing in a trusted operating system environment
